Small Group Ministry
Are you looking for a way to get more closely connected to God and FUMC? Would you like the opportunity to meet people and build stronger, deeper Christian relationships with other people in the congregation? If so, then you should consider joining a Small Group! Small Group Ministry is when 10 – 14 individuals come together on a regular basis for fellowship and prayer. This is more intimate than a Bible study group. You will get to know and love these other people and they will provide strength and prayers for you in good times and bad. All small group participants will begin by reading ‘One Anothering’, by Reverend Richard Meyer, to get your group started. This study provides building block instructions for the creation of healthy and vibrant small groups ... and lays a path for future growth and enrichment.
We have been members of a small group since October 2014 and it has been a blessing. We look forward to our monthly gatherings and always come away uplifted and feeling closer to God. If you are interested, please e-mail one of us at either peggydorval@me.com or steven.dorval@gmail.com. We can help find other folks to join or if you have a group that you would like to join with, then we can provide guidance on how to get started. Every Small Group finds it’s own identity. There is no wrong way to get closer to Jesus Christ and other people, but we can share what has worked for us and provide helpful hints and guidance. Please consider this calling.
